Is respect shown for other people's belief?

"Don't rely on someone else for your happiness and self worth. Only you can be responsible for that. If you can't love and respect yourself - no one else will be able to make that happen. Accept who you are - completely; the good and the bad - and make changes as you see fit - not because you think someone else wants you to be different." - Stacey Charter (thinkexist.com quote author)

Respect towards someone elses belief is when you see that person and no matter what religion he/she follows you will treat that person as an equal and by no mean force that person to believe on what you believe or make that person feel infirior to you.

In many countries world wide respect is not shown
at all specially in those areas where people from different nations live. A person usually (not in all cases) has the right to choose a religion according to his/her own personal criteria. A strong point to highlight is when someone demands respect that person must also grant respect.

In my local community respect is a very valuable thing, no matter what religion our neighbour may have or religious events he/she runs we will always help that person and treat him as an equal, as i want them to treat me. Respect is something you don't earn, its something you work for.
